James,
ReplyDeleteYou have identified five good local opportunities. I also had many opportunities that stem from the COVID 19 pandemic and lockdown, so I like that you highlighted the escalating grocery prices and furloughs that are a result. I worked for some time in the pharmaceutical industry, so I found your first opportunity relating to adverse drug effects for Finasteride particularly interesting. It’s a shame to hear of food options potentially closing due to health concerns, but perhaps another restaurant will be able to step in to serve customers better soon.
Best of Luck,
William Laramore
Hi James!
ReplyDeleteAlthough unfortunate stories, I guess it’s refreshing to see something make the news outside of COVID-19. The story regarding Domino's and Subway is quite disturbing and makes you wonder how many other restaurants just simply haven’t been caught yet. A small oversight of cleanliness and basic maintenance in a business can have major repercussions. As long as it takes it build up brand loyalty, things like this can destroy a reputation almost overnight.
Hi James,
ReplyDeleteI think you are really concern about the epidemic. Truly, the COVID condition really cause a lot of problems. I had the personal experience that the price in publix raise a lot and there are limited kinds of grocery left. Walmart does not provide the delivery service sometimes. The economic is really affected. But I think it is also an opportunity for some business. It seems like publix and walmart are having competition.
Hello James,
ReplyDeleteI can see the trend of events that are linked to COVID-19 happening in your local community. It is truly a tough time for us to be in as many new problems have been on the rise due to this pandemic, and some of my articles show that as well. Your opportunity 2 is tough for both the customers as well as the store owner because the store cannot keep the same prices to stay afloat. Great post!
Hi James,
ReplyDeleteThese local problems are happening around me as well. The beach issue in which many people are ending up with little to no work is happening all around the world. I think that this problem has a huge opportunity as it may help a lot of people. The one thing to think about with this problem is that it may only last until the pandemic is a problem and therefore the opportunity does not exist anymore. Great post.

ReplyDeleteHi James,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the insightful post, looking at your opportunity 4, I found a lot of ideas that resonate with mine. Cities like Miami are dependent on tourism and small businesses. If their economy does not open up at limited capacity soon than their economy will cripple. For example, Gainesville's economy is solely dependent on the University of Florida. If President Fuchs keeps all kid online for the remainder of the summer and fall semester, our economy will inevitable deteriorate.
